During the fall of 1888, Paul Gauguin and Vincent Van Gogh confront each other in Arles through a series of paintings.
In particular, they will each paint the Alyscamps, the "Champs-Élysées Arlésiens", site of the Roman necropolis.
Gauguin will choose not to transcribe reality and will make the autumn colors blaze.

Both of them choosed The Alyscamps, Arles's Champs Elisee, the old roman cemetery.

Gauguin Chose not to recreate the true colors and died to make shine the Autumn colors.
