Mastic tree (extract)

Composition : natural gum/resin from the Mastic tree, a Mediterranean shrub (Chios mastic).

Main mechanism of action : Partially inhibits 5-alpha reductase, which is involved in the conversion of testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). DHT stimulates sebum production by the sebaceous glands, leading to enlarged pores and acne.

Cosmetic properties,

·       Anti-inflammatory on skin cells

·       Reduces imperfections such as comedones and microcysts

·       Tightens enlarged pores and refines skin texture

·       Reduces sebum production and mattifies : reduces skin shine, with a matte and velvety finish.
